Yard Care Questions from Armstrong County Homeowners
Straight answers about how I work, what I do, and how to book.
What towns do you serve?
I'm based in Kittanning and serve homes throughout Armstrong County. Farther towns are scheduled by route day, so call or message for availability. Snow removal is the one exception and is available in Kittanning and Ford City only.
When should I schedule a fall cleanup and leaf removal?
Once most of the leaves have come down is the best time, and that is usually in the later part of fall. If you have a lot of trees, you may want a cleanup after the bulk drops and another pass if needed. Call or text and we'll pick a good time for your yard.
Do you haul away leaves and debris?
Yes. Debris is hauled off. Leaves, branches, brush, and clippings do not get left scattered in the grass or piled behind the garage.
When is the best time to aerate a lawn?
Early fall is the best window all year for aeration. Plugs get pulled so water and seed can reach the soil, and the lawn has time to recover before winter.
How do you price a mow or a cleanup?
Estimates are free and I price it straight. Price depends on the size of the yard and the scope of the work, so I need to know a little about your property. Call, text, or use the quote form.
How long does a paver walkway or small patio take?
It depends on the size and shape of the space and the base prep needed. I'll give you a realistic timeline in your free estimate.
What size yards do you mow?
My mowing routes are built for yards up to 1/2 acre, on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule.
Do you do lawn treatments?
No. I do not apply herbicides, pesticides, fertilizer, or weed-control products. I focus on mowing, cleanups, beds, edging, pavers, planting, aeration, pressure washing, and snow removal. For lawn treatments, I suggest contacting a licensed local applicator, such as Custom Lawn Care, Inc. (Butler, 724-287-3149) or TLC The Lawn Company (1-800-286-8505). Both list fertilization and weed control for Armstrong County. Ask for their Pennsylvania pesticide business license number before you hire anyone.
Do you offer pressure washing?
Yes. I wash house siding, decks, patios, sidewalks, and driveways for homes and, by request, real estate and small commercial properties. I need access to an outdoor water spigot, and estimates are free.
Do you work on real estate or commercial properties?
Yes, within the yard size and the services I offer. Homes are my main focus, but I also take on real estate properties (listings, rentals) and small commercial properties. Send me the address and what you need through the contact form. If a job needs coverage I do not carry yet, I will tell you up front and reach out as soon as I can take it on.
Do you offer snow removal?
Yes. Winter routes are open for snow shoveling and snow blowing in Kittanning and Ford City only. Call, text, or use the quote form for a free estimate.
Can I request more than one service?
Absolutely. Tell me everything you have in mind on the quote form and I'll price it together.
